Numeric Dave replies must carry the player's number
Some real-provider replies to an authored numeric offer contained only speech, even when the player explicitly chose 1000. The parser correctly rejected them; the conversation could not apply the native choice. The existing final response reminder covered binary choices, but excluded numeric offers.
The shared service now ends numeric turns with the required sourceChoice and sourceAmount contract too. The displayed min/max/step and older 2-10 clients' fixed displayed amount remain in force. Opted-in conversational clients can still clarify with null; numeric questions never acquire a forced decision. The native engine continues to own the effect and revalidate its current scene. No changes to gameplay, save format, pause behavior, providers or billing.
Regression checks cover the actual service's final provider message after history/account context, exactly one generation, legacy numeric clients, clarification, and continued rejection of missing/invalid amounts.
The separate hypnosis-context candidate is not included. Its first six single-attempt samples included two Qwen format failures and poor descriptions. After the numeric contract plus an experimental current-effect instruction, all four numeric samples returned their exact requested number, and both plant samples parsed. Gemini described the three sampled effects correctly; Qwen still invented sun-stealing zombies or asserted a result before it occurred. These combined-candidate samples support the format investigation, not isolated proof of this change's writing quality or broad provider certification. Both sets, full prompts and raw replies are retained without rerolls in the private worktree's output/hypnosis-{outcomes,contract}-writing/ directories. They use synthetic accounts and snapshots, with no player save/notebook/billing writes.
The gameplay-side hypothesis was independently checked through an actual Hypno-shroom bite, physical capped sun pickup, collection and native save/reload. That audit changes no production gameplay. Its evidence and the retained 2-7 ordinary-control losses remain in the game repository.
