Supporting Creators
Yumina creators put real work into their worlds. If a world made your week, you can give them something back -- either real money or in-platform mushies. Both flow to the creator; the platform takes a flat 20% fee on money tips and nothing on mushie gifts.
Two ways to support
| Money Tip | Mushie Gift | |
|---|---|---|
| Currency | Real money via Stripe | Mushies (in-app currency) |
| Presets | $1 ☕ · $3 🧋 · $7 🍱 · $15 🎁 | 150 · 500 · 1,500 🍄 |
| Custom amount | $1 -- $500 | Min 50 mushies |
| Goes to | Creator's Stripe payout balance | Creator's mushie wallet |
| Fees | 20% platform fee + Stripe processing | None |
Both flows let you attach a short message and choose to give anonymously.
Where to find the Support button
You'll see a heart-icon Support button on:
- The chat header while playing any session (creators of the world you're in)
- The world preview modal when you tap a world card in the Hub or Library
- The library detail panel when you open a world's full page
- Other players' public profiles, when they have at least one published world
You can't tip yourself -- the button is hidden on your own worlds.
The tipping flow
- Click Support anywhere it appears
- Pick Money or Mushies at the top of the modal
- Choose a preset or enter a custom amount
- (Optional) Write a short message the creator will see in their notifications
- (Optional) Toggle Anonymous if you don't want the creator to see your name
- Confirm
Money tips use Stripe Payment Element -- you can pay with card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or other digital wallets depending on your region. WeChat Pay is offered for Chinese users.
Mushie gifts deduct from your wallet immediately and land in the creator's account the same instant. Mushies you gift come from your addon balance (mushies you purchased or received as bonuses) -- not from your plan's daily refresh floor. If you're below the floor, the modal will show what you have available to gift.
Anonymous vs. named
- Named — the creator sees your username and avatar in their notifications, in their Recent Support feed, and on the world's public supporters list.
- Anonymous — appears as "Anonymous" to the creator and in public lists. The creator does not see who you are; your tip still goes through normally.
The anonymous flag is per-tip, so you can be public on one world and private on another.
After you tip
- You'll see a "Thanks!" confirmation toast.
- The creator gets an in-app notification with your name (or "Anonymous"), the amount, and your message if you wrote one.
- On the world's public page, named tips show up in the supporters list. Anonymous tips contribute to the world's support totals but don't list your name.
What the creator actually receives
For money tips:
- Platform fee: 20% of the gross tip
- Stripe processing: deducted separately by Stripe
- Hold period: 7 days after the payment succeeds (refund/dispute window)
- Minimum payout: $10 -- creators can cash out once their available balance crosses this threshold
- Payout method: Stripe Connect Express -- creators link their own bank account through Stripe
For mushie gifts:
- 100% of the mushies you sent land in the creator's wallet immediately, with no hold.
